There's nothing like GTA: Online, for better and for worse
The promise of Grand Theft Auto: Online is an intoxicating one. GTAV’s world remains one of, if not the most remarkable in gaming history, and the idea that you and a group of friends can team up and wreak havoc upon that world seems too good to be true. To some extent, it is too good to be true. GTAO suffers from a myriad of technical issues and limitations, including ridiculous loading times, crashes, game-breaking glitches, and terrible anti-cheat. It’s like a complicated, unwieldy machine with hundreds of unseen components. If it fails, your only two options are to start from scratch, or give up. But when it all comes together, when you finally find your friends after five minutes of loading screens and ten minutes of yelling at each other on Discord to “go here”, the experience is unparalleled. The first few hours we spent roaming the world were violent co-op magic, like a depraved, extravagant Scorcese montage with a body count that would turn eyes at the ICJ. We did missions, did drugs, blew things up, got haircuts, bought clothes, bought cars, stole cars, shot police, shot pedestrians, and of course, shot each other. Being homebound due to Covid, our at-first daily, then weekly GTA sessions kept us connected, the first time a game had done so since our short-lived Minecraft phase in March of last year. But yesterday, as we failed the same section of the Diamond Casino Heist for about the twentieth time, one of my friends broke the silence. “Is anyone having fun?” Several months ago, I posted a rant on this subreddit about the singleplayer, bemoaning its weak story, poor gunplay, unnoticeable progression, and surprisingly empty open-world. I stand by what I wrote, perhaps even more so now that I see how much more compelling GTAV could have been if it had included online’s heists, vehicles, and properties as DLC. That said, online is not without fault. While there’s a massive catalogue of things to buy, the grinding necessary to purchase these things is awful, making even Cookie Clicker feel productive. GamesRadar says the Heists, which themselves require expensive properties and a substantial initial investment to initiate, net you about 400k an hour, which isn’t all that much considering how much vehicles and properties cost. We realized early on that the disparity between GTAO’s prices and its payouts was a manufactured pain point, the remedy being the game’s overpriced Shark Cards. Rather than dig out our wallets, we abided by GTA’s longstanding moral tradition and hacked ourselves enough money to buy every car, every property, and every weapon in the game. But even without the grind to worry about, GTAO had no qualms with wasting our time. The loading screens are the most obvious example of this, but these are, I believe, unavoidable given the scope of what you’re loading into. Where it’s less forgivable is in the tedious minutiae and the absence of systems that should be present. The more we played, the more frustrated I became. Why can I only fast travel to my properties as a CEO? Why can’t I claim all destroyed vehicles at once? Why can’t I skip these stupidly long cutscenes? Why do I have to wait to spawn in a vehicle? In a way, it makes the same mistake as its singleplayer counterpart. Though it has incredible setpieces that you won’t find in any other game, the vast majority of your time is spent preparing for them. I don’t believe games should have infinite longevity, so I don’t fault GTAO for losing its sheen after eighty-some hours. Overall, I had a good time. Tearing through hordes of cops in a pink Insurgent. The terrific Pacific Standard Heist. Getting picked up by my friend in a disgusting anime car that he claimed wasn’t his. Being repeatedly stalked and kidnapped over the course of several weeks by a hacker named “JOE BIDEN” who’d drive me around the map at light speed and drop boats on my head as I’d try to flee. And above all, having the opportunity to hang out with my friends during a pandemic. These are all experiences I’ll remember. The hours I spent in loading screens, driving from one side of the map to the other for the hundredth time, and listening to Lester talk about skinny dipping? I’ll remember those too, though nowhere near as fondly.

Is there a better alternative to this game? Like GTA without being GTA?
(WARNING: Major salt below. Like freaking Dead Sea levels of salt.) Like holy shit. For a game that's been out for 7 years you'd think it would be able to function at a playable level or at least have some semblance of balance. I just wanna a good online crime sim with cool vehicles and weapons but everything in this game is ridiculously inflated to the point where you could 'grind' for hours and still only be able to afford a fraction of a car (Even the cars that have been from updates from YEARS ago have not gone down in price, like what the hell? I can't even access any of the cool shit in Story Mode either which is beyond infuriating). 'grinding' is essentially impossible in the conventional sense because you'll spend hours on ridiculously difficult missions fighting waves of bullet sponges for scraps of a chance for money. The constant errors and glitches don't help either. Take the heist prep delivery glitch for the yellow circle for example. Over a year ago my heist supplies just would'nt deliver for the Diamond Casino to the point where I couldn't progress at all. A year later and the same glitch is still present in the Cayo heist where I spend like 12 minutes getting shot at with supplies only to find I can't enter the Kosatka. Like really Rockstar? Over a year and you still haven't fixed this? I can send support tickets but they all lead to the response of 'oh we're aware and working on it!' Well clearly you aren't if its been this long! Don't even get me started on griefing, like who the fuck decided adding in the Specter from Saints Row was a good idea?! I absolutely LOVE getting fucking nuked by a dozen fucking depressors that I can't fight back against. I really wish there was a strong competitor in the open world video game market to take Rockstar down a notch. Its super ripe for the taking seeing as how low the bar is with the state of online today. FiveM definitely has the right idea but even that is just a derivative of GTA. GTA Online is a game designed for junkies, to keep you glued to a screen spending hours to get overpriced items in hopes you'll just cave and buy microtransactions (which are also fucking overpriced. The Megalodon card is 8 mil and cost $99. 8 mil gets you like 1 property with all upgrades, FFS a yacht is 9 mil. You're telling me a virtual boat is worth 3x the retail price of your game? What kind of brain dead toddlers are buying these things?!) If you're playing GTA Online in 2021, you've gotta be a fool, a junkie, or a masochist. Like fuck, there's gotta be a better alternative open world game than this shit. It has rekindled my interest in building a gaming rig just to play FiveM. (I started writing this during a loading screen. I need to get outside more)

Ultimate Gambling Guide for GTA Online - odds, probabilities, and optimal strategies
Since the Diamond Casino update, I have seen a large number of 12-year-olds posting Blackjack memes on this sub. As a parent, this has me very worried. On top of that, I have seen some of the most trustworthy GTA Youtubers giving flawed gambling advice, which can have damaging impact on their gullible audiences. So that's why I decided to write this up, to educate everyone on the subject, so there will be no more misunderstandings. (2020 Update down at the bottom.) If you're one of those Youtubers that wants to use this information in a video, feel free to do so. The more people (especially kids) that become educated about gambling, the better. But then also please go back and review your own work, and delete or edit the videos that are giving out the wrong advice, like where you're saying you have "a good strategy for making money with roulette", or some other nonsense that I've heard this week. Delete that please. Before I get into the individual games, I need to discuss a few concepts first, that will make understanding the rest a lot easier. Expected return and variance A game like Roulette or Slots has a fixed expected return on your bets. This is a percentage that you have no way of influencing. Say you are flipping a coin against a friend, and you both put up $1. The winner gets the pot. Since the odds are even at 50%, in the long run, you will expect to break even. Your expected return is 100% of your bet. But imagine if you would play this coin flipping game in a casino against the house. On the "house rules" listed at the table they would probably say that you would only get 95 cents back for every win, while you are forfeiting a dollar on every loss. Would you still play? Sounds stupid to do so, but still, everybody does it. Every bet they place on Roulette, every coin they put into a Slot machine, is based on the same concept. Those few cents they take on every bet are their profit margin, and has paid for all the Vegas lights, the Mirage volcanoes, and the Bellagio fountains. Make no mistake - casino gambling games are not designed to make you lose, because sure, you can get lucky on a single night, but they are designed to make them win. That's the beauty of it. They can both exist at the same time. Too many people that don't see how this works, are just destined for disaster. Just because you went on a lucky streak and won 8 games out of 10, does not mean that flipping coins is a profitable game, or that choosing tails is a winning strategy. Always be aware of the house edge, your true chances of winning, and just realize that you got lucky. There is no such thing as a strategy in flipping a coin that will give you a higher expected return, so it's just pure gambling, just like Slots and Roulette. Most casino games are made in such a way, that your expected return is a little under 100%. This means that from every dollar bet at the tables, the casino expects to keep a few cents. For individual players, results may vary. Some will win, most will lose. But for the house, it doesn't matter. They take millions of bets each day, so for them, the expected average works out a lot sooner. In short: the house always wins. When looking at the house edge, we're talking about the expected long-term result, based on the game's house rules. But for a player, it can take literally tens of thousands of hands or spins before you also reach this average number. Until that time, you can experience huge upswings and downswings, that are the result of nothing but short-term luck, which is called variance. Some games and some bets have a much higher variance than others, which means your actual results will differ enormously from what you're expected to be at. Take for example betting on red/black at the Roulette table. This is a low-variance proposition, because it has a high percentage chance of occurring, and a low payout. Contrast this with betting single numbers in Roulette, which only win once every 38 spins on average. This bet has a much higher variance, meaning you can easily hit a dry spell, and not hit anything for 200 bets in a row, or you can see a single number hit three times in five consecutive spins. This is not a freak occurrence in high-variance bets. Even though the expected return in both these bets is exactly the same, there's a huge difference in variance, causing massive differences in short-term results, which can go both ways. You need to be aware of this, before you decide what types of bets you are comfortable with placing. Gamblers' Fallacy Another thing to realize, is that each individual game, hand, or spin, is completely independent from the one(s) before it, and after it. Gamblers tend to believe, that the chance of a certain outcome is increased, based on previous results. The most famous example comes from the Casino de Monte Carlo, where the Roulette wheel managed to land on black 26 times in a row. Gamblers lost many millions during that streak, all frantically betting on red, believing that the odds were in favor of the wheel coming out on red, after producing so many blacks. This is not true. Each round is completely independent, and the odds are exactly the same. You will hear people say things like a Blackjack table being "hot" or "cold", which is completely superstitious, and should be ignored. The exception was when Blackjack was being dealt from a shoe. It made card counting possible. But with the introduction of shuffle machines, and continuous shuffling like is being used in GTA, this no longer exists. This is also why "chasing your losses" is a very bad idea. After being on a losing streak for some time, many gamblers believe that now it's their turn to start winning. So they will often increase their bet size, believing that when their predicted winning streak comes around, they will win back their losses, and more. The reality of it, more often than not, is that people will indeed start playing higher and higher limits, until they are completely broke. Nobody is ever "due for a win". There is never a guarantee that you're about to start winning. In fact, the opposite is more likely to be true. You are, after all, in a casino. Betting systems Some people like to think that they have a fool-proof betting system, like the Martingale system. Simply increase or even double your bet when you lose, and keep doing that until you win. In theory, this system will always win. So that's why table limits were introduced, and where the system fails. If you start at the Roulette table, playing red/black, with a small 750 chip wager, and just double your bet every time you lose, you only have to lose 6 times in a row, before you will be betting the table limit of 48,000, just to get that 750 chip profit. Sure, you can go on all evening without this happening, winning 750 chips each time, but this losing streak only has to happen once, and you're bust. Any betting system like this is ill-advised, because you are hugely increasing your so-called "risk of ruin", and that's what we were trying to avoid. And even if your starting bet is only 100 chips, after only nine straight losses, and nine doubled bets, you are betting the table limit at 50,000 chips. If you lose that bet, you're 100,000 chips in the hole, with no way to recover that with your 100 chip base wager. So don't believe anyone that says this is the perfect system to always win in the casino. Sooner or later they will understand why they were wrong, when they're asking you for a loan. Set your limits BEFORE you start playing One final point before we get into the games, a general tip for people that head out to play: money management. Just like in real life, before you go to the casino, decide on a maximum amount that you are WILLING TO LOSE. Bet small enough, so that amount can last you through the entire evening, and you will not be tempted to run to the ATM to continue playing. Considering GTA money, some people will be comfortable losing 1% of their GTA bank balance, some people will be comfortable with gambling away 5% of their total GTA savings. It's up to you what you can handle. Decide for yourself where it will start to hurt, and don't cross that line. But whatever number you decide on, as soon as you lost that amount, get up and walk away. Don't chase your losses, stick to your limits, and accept that this has not been your day. There is always another game tomorrow. Always agree with yourself on a simple stop-loss rule, how much you would want to lose at most, and simply stop playing when you get there. Same goes for winning. You can decide on a number, how much profit you would like to take away from the casino. You can go on a hot streak and be up half a million in a short period of time, but if you would continue to play longer, looking for more, chances are that you're going to lose it all back. Most people are happy with doubling their daily casino budget, for example. Others are looking for 10 bets profit in Blackjack. Whatever you choose, when you hit that number, you can stop playing and bank your profits, or you can continue playing if you're still enjoying the games, but then only just play minimum bet sizes. Then you're just playing for fun, not for money. You've already made your profit, so simply keep it in your pocket, and don't risk losing it again. Either way, decide on what your money management strategy will be, and STICK TO IT. Casino games in GTA Online Now, I'm going to dive into the games that you can find at the Diamond casino, ordered from worst to best. 6) Slots Generally the rule is this: the less strategy a game has, the worse it is for the player. And with slots, this is definitely the case. The only influence you have, is choosing what type of machine you're going to play. Basically, there are two types of slot machines: -high frequency, low payout slots -low frequency, high payout slots In the first type, there is no huge (progressive) jackpot on offer, just your average selection of prizes that don't go up to crazy amounts. This will result in a player having many more spins resulting in a win. The amounts that you win on the bigger prizes, will be smaller, but they do come around more often. This type of slot machine has a lower variance, which means that your money should last you longer, winning many smaller prizes along the way to keep you going. The second type of slot machine lures you in with the temptation of a huge jackpot prize. Even though the long-term expected return on these machines is the same as the previous type, the prize distribution is hugely different. The large jackpot prize weighs heavily on the scale of expected return, but the chance of it hitting is extremely small. This results in a much higher variance on this type of machine. Usually your money will go down very fast, because the smaller prizes are less rewarding than on the other type of machine. At the Diamond, the info screen says the player return at slots is set at 98.7%. This means that, on average, for every maximum bet of 2,500 chips, you expect to lose 32.5 chips. This might not seem like a lot, but the danger of slots is that the game is extremely fast. You can spin about once every 6 seconds, which would result in an expected LOSS of about 20,000 chips per hour of playing. But again, in this long-term expected number, the large jackpot awards are also factored in, and as long as you don't hit those big prizes, you'll see your money go down a lot faster. In any case, thank heavens the max bet is only set at 2,500, or else we would see more players go bankrupt at alarming rates. Optimal strategy for slots: There is none. Because after betting, you have no more influence over the outcome. The only choices you have, is what type of machine you want to play at, and how much money you are going to risk. And those are all personal preference. As long as you stick to your loss limits, as discussed above, there's no harm in having a go every once in a while, hoping to get a lucky hit. Just realize that you don't have a high chance of scoring a big win, so as soon as you do, get up and walk away. 5) Roulette Roulette is also a game where you have no influence over the outcome. There is zero skill involved. You place your bet, and that's it. In traditional French roulette, a table has only the single-zero, but of course, for American casinos that wasn't enough of a house edge, so they simply doubled their profits by adding a second zero. The house edge was increased from 1/37 to 1/19, which is huge. This makes playing on a double-zero roulette table by definition a sucker's play. The payouts scale evenly, which means that a bet on a single number, and a bet on half of the numbers, and everything in between, yields the same expected return. The only difference, again, being the variance that you are willing to subject yourself to. The player return for double-zero Roulette for all bets is 94.74%. Except for the 5-number bet, which can only be made by placing a bet on the two top rows that contain 0, 00, 1, 2 and 3. The expected return on this bet is lower: 92.1%. This is because it only pays out 6-1. Why? Well, the number 36 isn't divisible by 5, so the greedy people that came up with double-zero Roulette had to round it off someway, and as expected, it wasn't going to be in the players' favor.Just remember that that 5-number bet is the worst bet at the table, and should be avoided. All other possible bets have the same expected return. So it really doesn't matter how you spread your bets, if you bet only one chip, or if you litter the entire table with a bucketload of chips. Each chip you put out there, has the same expected return, so there is no strategy that will improve your long-term results. Assuming that you're betting the maximum table amount of 50,000 chips, you will be looking at an expected loss of about 2,630 chips per spin. Considering that a round takes about 45 seconds to complete, your expected LOSS at the GTA Roulette tables will be around 200,000 chips per hour of playing. Optimal strategy for double-zero roulette: Stay away. Stay far away. 4) Three Card Poker With Three Card Poker, we come across the first game where there is actually some strategy involved. You get to look at your cards, and then decide if you want to fold, and surrender your ante, or double your bet. Additionally, you can choose to place a side bet on "Pair Plus", which offers progressive payouts. There are some websites out there that ran all the numbers with computer simulations, and even though I would like to quote the source here, these websites are understandably littered to the max with online casino ads, so that's why I have decided against doing that. Optimal strategy for Three Card Poker: For this game you only have to remember one strategy rule: Always bet on any high card queen-six-four or better, and fold any high card queen-six-three or lower. That's it. Just don't forget to double check if you're not folding a straight or a flush, and you'll be fine. This strategy will result in an expected return of 96.63%. The Pair Plus sidebet, with the payout table that is used at the Diamond casino, gives you an expected return of 97.68%, which is actually a bit better than the main ante bet. So by playing both wagers, you're reducing your expected losses per bet, but since you're betting more, you're also increasing your expected loss per hour. My advice would obviously be to not play this game at all, but if you do, put as much of your bet as possible on the Pair Plus, while making our Ante bet as small as you can. To be able to compare it to the other games at the Diamond, let's stay on that 50,000 maximum wager, meaning making your ante bet 35,000, and your pair plus bet 15,000, if the table would allow it. This results in an expected loss of about 1,525 chips per hand, and with a round taking about 45 seconds, this adds up to an expected LOSS of around 120,000 chips per hour of playing. In comparison, if you would only play the ante bet for 50,000 per hand, you expect to lose 1,685 chips per hand, which means an expected LOSS of about 135,000 chips per hour. So the more out of that 50,000 wager you can put on the "Pair Plus" sidebet, the better. Even though it may be fun to try out this game for a bit, since there's only one simple strategy rule to follow, you'll soon find yourself robotically grinding down your bankroll until it has vaporized. You're not missing out on anything if you skip these tables, there is no real challenge. Just like with Roulette and Slots, if you want to try it out nonetheless, you can just bet the minimum amounts and only play for fun, so it won't matter if you win or lose. 3) Blackjack Blackjack is the most complicated game by far. Simply because the player has to make a series of decisions, which will largely decide the outcome. Luckily, there is such a thing as an optimal strategy, which will be outlined below. However, the strategy is also dependent on the house rules. These not only affect your expected return, but in some places also your decisions. Here are the house rules at the Diamond casino: -The game uses 4 standard decks, and a continuous shuffle. -Blackjack pays 3 to 2, dealer checks for early blackjack. -No insurance offered, no surrender. -Dealer stands on soft 17. -Double down on any two cards. -Player can split only once, but doubling after split is allowed. -Seven-Card Charlie. Under these rules, and following the "basic strategy" chart, your expected return at Blackjack is a shade under 99.6%, which is extremely good for a casino game, that's why Blackjack should be your table game of choice. But it comes at a price: you are going to have to memorize the relatively complicated strategy chart, or at least stick it to your monitor until you have it in your head. But in case you ever stumble into a real-life casino, you won't regret having this table memorized, so I would definitely advise you to work on that. The strategy chart might look complicated at first, but you will be able to notice certain patterns. Your decisions are mainly based on the dealer's upcard, which is basically divided into a weak card (2 to 6), and a strong card (7 to ace). When a dealer shows a strong card, you will be hitting more often with the risk of going bust, but when a dealer shows a weak card, you're not taking that risk, and you will be standing more, but also doubling and splitting more. You want to increase your bets when the odds are in your favor, and get out cheap when they're not. But it also helps to take some time to think about why a certain advice is given. For example, why does it say that you always have to split two eights, even against an ace. Well, that's because two eights equals 16, which is the worst total you can have. It's better to split them up, and give yourself a chance of finding a 17, 18 or 19 with the next card. Once you see the logic in that, you'll have one less thing to memorize. The playing advice in the basic strategy chart is a result of computer simulations that ran all possible outcomes against each other, and produced the most profitable decision for each situation. So you can't go wrong following it. Optimal strategy for Blackjack with Seven-Card Charlie The added house rule of Seven-Card Charlie, adds a small advantage for the player, and it does influence a few strategy decisions. For example, you might have a 14 with 6 cards, against the dealer's 5 upcard. Normally this would be an automatic stand, but if you're only one card away from the Seven-Card Charlie, meaning an instant win for the player, regardless of the dealer's hand, it turns it into a hit. Here's the most optimal strategy chart to follow for the Diamond Casino house rules: https://prnt.sc/olct6g You'll see that two fives are missing from the chart, and that's because you never split them. You treat them as a regular 10. You also never split tens. Just stand on 20. If you follow this strategy religiously, even with a maximum wager of 50,000 chips, you only expect to lose about 215 chips per hand, and with rounds taking about 30 seconds, that amounts to an expected LOSS of 26,000 chips per hour, which is only half a bet. A small price to pay for an hour of entertainment. But since the expected return is so extremely close to 100%, you will see more positive short-term results than with other games. But obviously it can also swing the other way. Again, this is supposed to be the game where your money lasts you the longest, but always set your loss and win limits before you sit down. That rule simply always applies. Still, even with optimal strategies applied, all these games are expected to lose you money in the long run. So betting any kind of large amounts is not advised. If you simply want to enjoy playing these games, there's nothing wrong with betting a minimal amount. Playing these games for a longer period of time will already cost you money anyway, since your daily property fees will still be charged while you're playing in the GTA casino. As long as you can play for fun, there's nothing wrong, but when you see yourself betting insane chunks of your entire bank balance to try to recoup some unfortunate losses, you're doing it wrong. As the commercials in Britain all correctly say: when the fun stops, stop. 2) Virtual Horse Racing Now onto the good stuff. I ran some numbers, and I believe Rockstar has made a mistake with the horse racing game. Because as it stands, and if I read the numbers correctly, this game is actually profitable for the player. You can actually make money with this, at least, until Rockstar figures out their mistake and patches it. If anyone wants to jump into the math and double check this to make sure, please do so. I will add any corrections to this post. This is one of those "to good to be true" things, so I keep thinking that I might have overlooked something. So please verify it if you can. The setup is this. There is a pool of 100 horses, each with their own attached payout. These are divided into 3 groups, ranked by their odds. From each group, 2 horses are randomly selected to provide a pool of six runners for you to bet on. Now it's not an actual race you're looking at. You are looking at a raffle. This is important to realize. Each horse gets awarded a certain number of raffle tickets. The favorites get awarded more tickets than the underdogs, and therefore, have a higher chance of winning. If this distribution works like it does in the real-life casinos, then the raffle tickets are awarded according to the betting odds. Example 1: imagine a race with 3 runners, all have 2/1 odds, representing a 33.3% chance of winning. (Because 2/1 means 2 AGAINST 1, so 3 total.) In this case, each horse gets one third of the raffle tickets, giving them an equal chance to win. Example 2: imagine a race with 3 runners, one has 1/1 odds (or EVENS), representing a 50% chance of winning, and the other two horses are marked up as 3/1, with a 25% chance of winning. The favorite gets half the tickets, the other two get a quarter of the tickets each. A ticket is drawn, and you'll have a winner. It doesn't matter in this game which horse you bet on, because the expected return is always the same: 100% or break-even, for the above examples. Now, what happens if the percentages don't exactly add up to 100%? They must add up to 100%, because there will always be a winner. And only one winner. So when this is the case, the actual winning chances of the horses are adjusted to meet the 100% requirement, using their payout odds to determine the scale. So, if the represented percentages add up to more than 100%, the actual winning chances of the runners will be DECREASED, resulting in all bets becoming losing propositions for the players. Example: In a 6-horse race, all runners are listed at 4/1, representing a 20% chance. Only with six runners that amounts to 120%. So all chances are scaled down by 1/6th, to end up at 100%. This means your horse's chances are reduced from 20% to 16.67%, turning it into a losing bet: 5 times you will lose your bet, and 1 time you will win, but only get 4 bets back in this instance, instead of 5. A losing bet in the long run. This is the type of odds that you find in regular casinos, with fields as large as 15 runners to bet on, where the assumed winning chances always add up to more than 100%, therefore are decreased for all runners, resulting in a house edge. But in GTA Online's Inside Track, there are other scenarios, because of the small field, and the way that they are put together. In some cases, the represented percentages when added up, are LESS than 100%, meaning that the actual winning chances of all runners, are INCREASED. This creates profitable bets for the players, because in the long run, you're expecting to win more money than you lose. This is a gambler's dream, pure and simple. So, according to the in-game information, the three groups of horses are divided as follows: -Favorites: EVENS to 5-1 -Outsiders: 6-1 to 15-1 -Underdogs: 16-1 to 30-1 Let's take the two most extreme examples to show what's happening. The worst possible field to bet on: two runners at EVENS, two runners at 6-1, and two runners at 16-1. EVENS represents a 50% chance, 6-1 is 14.29%, and 16-1 is 5.88%. Add those up and you land on a total of 140.34%. This means that the actual winning chances of the horses are decreased by 28.75% (to get that 140% down to 100%), which makes betting on this field extremely unwise. A horse at EVENS will only come in as a winner 35.63% of the time, instead of 50%, a horse at 6-1 will only win 10.18% of the time, and an underdog at 16-1 will only win 4.19% of the time. The expected return on a bet on any of the horses in this field is only 71.26%, so a maximum bet of 10,000 chips on any of these horses holds an expected LOSS of 2,875 chips. These returns are the same, because the winning chances are scaled equally, according to the payout numbers. So it really doesn't matter which horse you bet on, in the long run, you expect the same results. But as explained before, it does influence variance, and therefore your short-term result, which can swing both ways. But now, the best possible field to bet on: two runners at 5-1, two runners at 15-1, and two runners at 30-1. Odds at 5-1 represents a winning chance of 16.67%, 15-1 odds means 6.25% chance, and 30-1 odds means a 3.23% chance of winning. Add these six horses together, and you only get 52.285%. This means that, to get from 52% to 100%, the actual winning chances of these horses will be almost doubled! Multiplied by 1.91 to be exact. So the 5-1 favorites will now win 31.88% of the time, instead of 16.67%, the 15-1 runners will win 11.95% of the time, and the underdogs at 30-1 odds will still win 6.17% of the time. When betting on this field, the expected return on your bet is 191.25%! This means that a max bet of 10,000 chips will result in an expected PROFIT of 9,125 chips. This is printing money, if there ever was such a thing. Optimal strategy for Virtual Horse racing So all you have to do, is only bet high on the games where you have an expected positive return, and bet the absolute minimum on the games where your expected return is negative. Or back out of the racing game to refresh the field. If you don't have a way to quickly add up all the percentages, and until somebody shows up here with a neatly formatted table, just use a few general rules of thumb: -Always bet the maximum on a race with favorites at 2/1 and 3/1 or higher in it. -Simply skip all races with two favorites at EVENS in it, and at EVENS and 2/1. Or bet the minimum, if you can't skip or refresh the field. -To decide if you should play races with other favorite combinations EVENS and 3/1, EVENS and 4/1, EVENS and 5/1, or two favorites at 2/1, the payouts on the other four runners determine whether or not it's profitable to play them. The results of betting on these fields vary from an expected 1,330 chip loss (worst-case) to an expected 1,680 chip win (best-case), with a max bet of 10,000 chips. But if you're not looking for another strategy chart, you might just want to skip these borderline cases, and just cherry pick the best ones, which are easy to recognize, and with which you can never go wrong. It's difficult to put a number on an expected win-rate, because it all depends on which fields you get presented with, but it's not unreasonable to state that you can maintain a steady win-rate of around 200,000 chips per hour, with about 50 seconds per race. Remember, you're not trying to win every race. You're trying to win the most money per hour. So don't sweat it when you bet on a 4/1 favorite, and lose a couple of races in a row. It will still be more profitable in the long run. You have the math on your side. To reduce negative variance, always bet on the favorite, when betting on profitable fields. We're not gambling anymore, we're grinding out a steady profit. We want to keep the swings to a minimum. I contacted Rockstar support to verify if this is indeed how it works, but the only reply I got after 6 weeks is that they were "looking into it". User u/Garsant made a useful Excel-worksheet, available for you to download, where you can quickly type in the payouts on the horses, to see if it produces a profitable bet or not. You can find it in his post here: https://www.reddit.com/gtaonline/comments/ekp8na/gta_online_inside_track_odd_calculato 1) Wheel of Fortune The number one profitable casino game in GTA Online is obviously the Wheel of Fortune, because it costs you nothing to play. Unfortunately, you only get one free spin per day, but it holds great value, so make sure you do it. With a chance to win a super car, vehicle discounts, expensive mystery prizes (which also can be vehicles), and a lot of cash and chips, the expected return on a single spin is around $100,000 in value. So don't forget your daily spin, it's definitely worth your time. 2020 Update: As of the Diamond Casino Heist update, the Inside Track horse racing is confirmed to still be as profitable as outlined above. The only thing that seems to be changed, is that you can't refresh the field anymore by backing out of the screen. This does affect your hourly rate in a negative way, but does not change the fact that this game has a huge positive expected return, and should be your go-to when you're trying to take money from the house, without having Lester's nagging voice in your ear. That should also be worth something. And with that, I conclude my 5,000 word essay on gambling in GTA. Questions, comments, feel free to add your input to this guide. Cliffs: -Gambling games should only be played for fun, not for big money. You should expect to lose in the long run. The house always wins. -A casino game doesn't have a memory, and betting systems don't work. -Set your limits before you start, how much you are willing to lose or win, and then walk away when you get there. -Don't play slots, roulette, or three card poker. -Only play blackjack following a basic strategy chart (https://prnt.sc/olct6g). -Inside Track betting can be played profitably, if you only bet on fields WITHOUT a heavy favorite. -Wheel of Fortune is always your best bet, because it's a free bet.
Ultimate Gambling Guide for GTA Online - odds, probabilities, and optimal strategies
This is not mine, the creator of this is u/enderpiet Since the Diamond Casino update, I have seen a large number of 12-year-olds posting Blackjack memes on this sub. Here's the most optimal strategy chart to follow for the Diamond Casino house rules:https://prnt.sc/olct6g You'll see that two fives are missing from the chart, and that's because you never split them.
Solo money making guide for new and well set players.
I've got this cool solo money making guide I tried and tested.
This combines the CEO work, Import/Export, Special cargo, MC Businesses, Bunker, Nightclubs and Terrorbyte client missions.
This guide is 100% solo.
This is an all day method, great if you have a day off school or work.
Also contains an AFK method.
I recommend doing this method in a solo public lobby because there maybe other players in that lobby that's also doing Terrorbyte missions, Headhunter, Sightseer or any other VIP jobs and that's not even including griefers.
Two Special cargo warehouse. (Size depends on how much money you have so large if you can afford it but small if your short on money).
Bunker with equipment and staff upgrades.
MC Clubhouse.
MC Businesses with Equipment and Staff upgrades. (Coke, Meth, Cash). Weed and Document Forgery is mainly to supplement the Nightclub business.
Nightclub with staff, equipment and security upgrades and five technicians. Also get least level 2 storage upgrades. Need crate warehouse/Hanger, MC Businesses Coke, Meth, Cash, Weed and Document Forgery and Bunker to make full use of the Nightclub business.
Terrorbyte so you can do client missions which is important for the main guide. Also get the Drone station so you can do Targeted Data which in my opinion is easier than Diamond Shopping, Robbery in Progress and Data Sweep.
Arcade with Master Control Terminal. So you can buy product from one location and do the Casino Heist.
Recommended locations (For players who don't have the businesses yet). If you already own the businesses and properties then you don't have to change from your current locations, except maybe moving your MC Businesses to Sandy Shores if it's in Paleto Bay or Elysian Islands/Terminal and moving your Bunker to Chumash or Farmhouse. This is mainly for players who are looking to buy those properties and businesses. Note: This is my personal opinion. If you think there's another better location or disagree, then let me know why that's better. If you already have multiple Special cargo small, medium or large warehouses then stick with the ones you have.
CEO Office: Office of your choice.
Vehicle warehouse: I recommend La Puerta since it has good accessibility for the Cargobob and it's easily accessible when delivering a car and also great for selling vehicles to specialist dealer locations. It's also away from gang locations. La Mesa is decent too if your starting out since it's the cheapest location but watch out for Vagos though.
Special cargo warehouse two small or large: Anywhere but in Elysian or south of Los Santos.
MC Clubhouse: I recommend the Great Chaparral one since it's near your businesses in Sandy Shores if you have them there.
MC Businesses Coke, Meth, Cash, Weed and Document Forgery: I recommend Grand Senora Desert since it's the cheapest and it's easier to do sell missions to Los Santos. If your gonna buy the Weed and Document Forgery, then buy it in northern Los Santos or in Grans Senora Desert and Grapeseed respectively. No need to upgrade your Weed and Document Forgery.
Bunker: Chumash or Farmhouse because they're closer to the Los Santos for sell missions.
Nightclub: In Downtown Vinewood since it's near the highway and it's next to a long main straight road. It's also the northernmost one so it's very useful if the business battle or nightclub promotion mission is in Blaine county.
Arcade: Anywhere in Los Santos. The one in Vinewood is the one I have but La Mesa is also a good location.
Vehicles you'll need. 1. Buzzard.
Most important vehicle for any money grinders to have to have since it makes travelling around the map easier and faster and makes Terrorbyte missions, Sightseer and Headhunter more quickly, you can also spawn it in for free (only if you bought it) in the interaction menu while your a CEO. If you didn't buy it then it'll cost $25,000 to spawn at the interaction menu as a CEO so make sure to get it ASAP. The Buzzard homing missiles like all vehicles and aircraft with homing missiles can sniff out enemy NPCs if you get one of the enemy ambush missions.
2. Bati 801RR.
That is, if you can't afford an Oppressor MK II this the best alternative since it's still fast to get around the map and you can find it around the streets for free or you can buy it for $15,000. Make sure to wheelie as much as you can since it becomes one of the fastest bike in the game while doing a wheelie. You can still get back to the second Post Op van (if your quick), second Garbage truck, second bike deliveries and second boat and still complete those missions with time to spare.
3. Oppressor MK II (Optional).
You can also spawn it as a MC president in the interaction menu and if your not an MC president or you can still call it anytime by going into the Terrorbyte services in the interaction menu and spawning it from there or just call the mechanic if you don't own the Terrorbyte yet.
You can maintain full speed by boosting and wiggling the thumbstick up and down without pressing the accelerator button, just keep boosting while wiggling the thumbstick up and down for fastest travel time. Don't press the accelerator while doing this trick otherwise the boost won't regenerate.
Reason why it's optional is because it's expensive and you need a Terrorbyte to customize it and a Nightclub to own a Terrorbyte.
4. Cargobob (Optional).
This is for the Import/Export sell mission. Use it if your selling the vehicle in a solo public lobby since enemy NPCs in blue Sultan RS will spawn and damage the car which reduces the final amount of money you get when you delivered in a location. Make sure to fly it high enough otherwise the enemies NPCs can still damage the car.
6. Post Op vans (Optional).
This is for practicing driving the Post Op vans around so you can be more prepared in case you get the nightmarish Post Op van sale mission for the MC Businesses. More on step 4 "Solo Post Op van tips" part. It only costs $59,850 buy it now or $45,000 trade price and it's a Pegasus vehicle.
The main money making guide tips and steps.
I recommend doing the steps in a solo public session. This is not only to avoid griefers and tryhards but this guide may spread to the popular GTA online money grinding youtubers such as TheProfessional, Tylerious or maybe even Ghilliemaster and this guide may get very popular that more players will be doing this guide so most likely someone else will be doing a Terrorbyte mission, Sightseer, Headhunter or any other VIP work. See GTA Online Mega Guide thread on how to go in a solo public lobby. Or you can just keep finding a new session until you're in a solo public lobby or in a session your happy with full of friendly players who don't do Terrorbyte client missions, Sightseer and Headhunter. If you want to do the Casino Heist or other jobs then set your MTU back to 1500 otherwise you can't join a heist or other activities with low MTU. Get the Arcade with the Master Control Terminal. The Master Control Terminal allows you to buy supplies in one building instead of having to fly to different businesses to resupply. However sell product from the actual businesses location because if you sell from the Master Control Terminal then you'll have to drive or fly to that business to begin selling which could cost valuable time. Before you start the steps. (If you have a Nightclub). If you have a nightclub and five technicians then put them on Cargo/Shipments (Hanger), Sporting goods (Bunker), South American imports (Cocaine), Pharmaceuticals (Meth) and Cash Creation (Counterfeit cash). Once Pharmaceuticals and Cash Creation is full then move those technicians to Organic Produce (Weed) and Printing and Copying (Document Forgery). Ignore this part if you don't have a nightclub. Business battles (Optional). If your in a lobby with three other players and a business battle starts. You can collect the crate or vehicle with the crates. Once you finished, delivering the product to your nightclub then continue what your doing. Make sure your nightclub popularity is full. (Optional) You can make a small profit with the nightclub safe. At any time in the steps if your nightclub popularity is full in the pre step and the the game tells you your safe is $20,000 just go back to your nightclub and book another DJ to make the nightclub popularity full again and wait until the game tells you have $40,000 and re-book another Dj and keep grinding until you reach $60,000. If it reaches $70,000 collect the money straight away and wait until the game tells you, that you have $10,000 in the safe and re-book another DJ and keep repeating this process. Make sure to change DJs every 90 minutes to avoid losing popularity. Here's the Reddit thread that explains it all. https://www.reddit.com/gtaonline/comments/95crke/nightclub_profit_and_popularity_guide_not/ If you have a Terrorbyte. Spawn it and start up Import/Export source vehicle or Special cargo missions since it's faster to go in rather than going all the way to your CEO office or Master Control Terminal depending where you are on the map. Always do Headhunter in Los Santos. The targets are more closer in Los Santos. Blaine County targets are more spread out so it'll take longer to do it there. Make sure your completely in Los Santos since even starting Headhunter in Vinewood Hills, you'll still get Blaine County targets. Play in free aim lobbies. The chances of being attacked or griefed by a tryhard is slightly lower than in auto aim. But they are still plenty of them, just not as much as auto aim. Your more likely to get placed in a peaceful lobby and if you do get attacked by a tryhard or griefer then find a new session since they're just wasting your time and to also protect your cargo since you only lose a little bit when you find a new session or close the application. Also there's less players on free aim than auto aim so your more likely to find a lobby with less players. PC only, If you see a modder or a cheater in your session. Find a new session immediately since they may try to give you cheated money and get you falsely banned. They may also try to grief you with the use of mods. If nightclub safe is full at $70,000. Make sure to collect the money ASAP so more money can be stored in the safe. If your flying a Buzzard or any vehicles or aircraft with homing missiles around in a peaceful lobby. Make sure to use the homing missiles only when you need to use them such as killing enemy NPCs or Headhunter targets. One you finished using them then switch to the machine guns or non homing mode or the barrage missiles (if your in a Hunter) until you need to use the homing missiles again. This is to stop scaring other players who are in another aircraft or in a vehicle on the ground and it's also to prevent accidental firing of the homing rocket that's locked on to friendly players. Terrorbyte client missions are quick and easy. Finishing Targeted Data, Diamond Shopping and Robbery in Progress gets you an easy $31,000 in just 3-4 minutes of work. You'll need a drone station to do Targeted data though. Stealing supplies is NOT worth it anymore if your Bunker and MC Businesses have full upgrades. Steal missions take too long to do and it can take up to two or three hours to fill all your businesses. You can do the pre step and step 2 to easily pay off your supplies investment and even make some more money in the two and a half hours period before the businesses and Bunker stops producing due to lack of supplies. Good thing about this Casino heist DLC is that they include the Master Control Terminal where you can buy supplies for your businesses in one place instead of having to drive or fly to different locations. The only time where I recommend stealing the supplies is when you don't have the upgrades yet on your Bunker or MC Businesses. If you have an associate in your CEO. If you have friends or a random person in your CEO, after you finished a Terrorbyte mission, do Point to point and share the money for an extra $5,250. Your associate can get paid well and still have fun grinding. Also if your in an MC then promote your friend or associate to Road Captain so they can use the non weaponized Buzzard or Havok (if they own one). Don't waste money on junk. One of the main reasons why players go broke and resort to buying Shark cards or give up on the game altogether. You don't need to own everything in the game and get a Deluxo or the latest supercar just because your friends and "everyone" has one. The clothes you only need are heavy heist vests for classic heists, quad lens helmets and scuba outfit. Supercars are only good for driving around the map and for races but not for missions. You can get around the map faster with a Buzzard. If your gonna buy a super car then buy the one that tops Broughy1322's tests. The steps below are assuming you have the full day off from school or work and want to grind all day. Note: The main steps are only if you have the CEO Office, Vehicle Warehouse, Bunker (Fully upgraded), MC Clubhouse, MC Businesses (Coke, Meth and Cash all fully upgraded), Nightclub, Terrorbyte and Arcade with Master Control Terminal. Also the tips below the steps are from my experience of grinding and selling cargo.
Pre step: Buy supplies for your Bunker and MC Businesses.
Make sure they're empty so sell whatever you have before buying supplies. Also set spawn location in the Arcade.
Buy Supplies for your Coke, Meth, Cash and Bunker using the Master Control Terminal in the Arcade.
Make sure you have a stop watch and set it to two and a half hours.
Step 1: Import/Export method (Best time to money ratio).
Source vehicle.
Sell vehicle.
Do Terrorbyte mission.
Source a vehicle.
Do Terrorbyte mission.
Do Headhunter.
Sell vehicle.
Do Terrorbyte mission.
Source vehicle.
Do Terrorbyte mission.
Do Headhunter.
Sell vehicle.
Do Terrorbyte mission.
Repeat 8-13 or move to step 2.
Import/Export sell tips.
Always sell to Specialist dealer for the most money.
If you sold the vehicle with a Cargobob, land the Cargobob near your office and start Sightseer then do Headhunter.
To only source top range vehicles, make sure you have 10 standard range, 10 mid range and 0 top range. If you have any dupes of a standard or mid range car, make sure to sell it and get another different car in that range.
If your in a solo public lobby enemy NPCs will spawn in a blue Sultan RS and will attack you and damage the vehicle.
If you own a Cargobob and your in a solo public lobby just simply carry the vehicle to its destination. Make sure to fly high though since there's the NPCs can still spawn and shoot the car if your still low.
If you don't own a Cargobob and your in a solo public lobby, keep driving the car and as soon as you see a enemy NPC red circle on the map, get out of the car immediately and kill the NPCs. There's four waves of them (two blue Sultan RS with two NPCs inside each of them per wave). Once you kill them then you can safely deliver the car to it's destination.
If your lazy getting out of the car. Drive past the first batch of NPCs then slow down once the red marker disappears but don't go too fast otherwise a new batch spawns and don't go too slow either otherwise the first batch will catch up. If done right, you shouldn't lose more than $2000 per sale.
Special cargo method with a warehouse. It's only if you want to mix things up a bit since doing the same I/E method over again can be efficient but boring.
Steal three crates.
Do Terrorbyte mission.
Steal three crates.
Do Terrorbyte mission.
Steal another three crates. You should have nine after you delivered those crates.
Do Terrorbyte mission.
Do one cycle of the I/E method above. (Do 1-5 on the Step 2: Import/Export method).
Sell crates or continue filling up the warehouse.
Repeat 1-8.
(Optional) If continuing filling up the warehouse, repeat 1-9. (You don't have to do the cycle again but it's up to you if you want to)
Sell the crates.
Do Terrorbyte mission.
After finishing a source mission. If you go the vehicle mission then do Headhunter then do a Terrorbyte mission. If you get vehicle missions back to back and Headhunter's still cooling down then simply do a Terrorbyte mission and source another three crates. If you got a three crate pickup mission, then just do a Terrorbyte mission and source another crate after. Special cargo tips.
Use Buzzard or Oppressor MK II to collect crates since it's faster.
To know if you got a vehicle or three crate missions, pause and check the map. If your warehouse your sourcing the crate for is not on the map then you got a vehicle mission but if the warehouse is on the map then you'll have to collect three crates separately.
If you have a Oppressor MK II and you see the warehouse is not on the map then don't use it because you have to leave the Oppressor behind after collecting the vehicle which has the crates and you have to go to the location to pick the Oppressor up.
If the warehouse is on the map then use the Oppressor MK II to collect the crates since you have to collect them separately.
If your a solo player who plays in solo public lobbies make sure to get the Armor upgrade for the plane and Brickade because there maybe enemy NPCs coming after you and the speed upgrade for the Tug since it's very slow.
If you do get a plane mission where you have to air drop the cargo, go to the airport with a Buzzard or Hydra and enter the plane as usual but get out and get in your Buzzard or Hydra and scout the drop off points for enemy NPC Buzzards and Valkyries. If you do see them then make sure to destroy them at all drop off points. The enemy NPC Buzzards and Valkyries with the explosive rounds can ruin your sale. Once your done destroying them then you should have enough time to go back the to airport and finish your sales.
This is a solo method on how to do MC Businesses and Bunker 100% solo. Sourcing and selling top range cars after selling the MC product and disbanding MC and registering as CEO.Read before doing step 3.
If the I/E vehicle is still on a cooldown after selling MC product then do a Terrorbyte mission and maybe even Headhunter and the cooldown should more than likely finish.
Step 3.
Sell Coke.
Disband MC and register as CEO and steal a top range vehicle and sell straight away.
Sell Meth.
Steal top range vehicle and sell.
Sell Cash.
Steal top range car and sell.
Sell the Bunker.
Steal top range car and sell.
Stealing top range car and selling it pretty much pays off buying supplies assuming you haven't caused a combined total of more than $5000 while sourcing and selling the vehicle.
Fast step 3 (If your short on time and need to do something else).
Sell Coke.
Sell Meth.
Sell Cash.
Sell Bunker.
Pretty much skips the steal and sell car part since the MC Business and Bunker sell missions can take about an hour to finish.
What you'll get when buying one batch of supplies for you Bunker and MC Businesses (Coke, Meth and Cash). Note: This is with the Equipment and Staff upgrades.
You'll always get $140,000 local or $210,000 remote for the Bunker.
All Bunker sell missions can be done solo since buying supplies gives you $140,000 ($210,000 remote) and anything equal or less than $175,000 local means you'll get one vehicle.
You'll mostly get $112,000 local or $168,000 remote (2 bars) for the Coke but sometimes you'll get $84,000 local or $126,000 remote (1.5 bar).
You'll mostly get $95,200 local or $142,800 remote (2 bars) for the Meth but sometimes you'll get $107,100 local or $160,650 remote (just over 2 bars).
You'll always get $98,000 local or $147,000 remote (2.5 bars) for the Cash.
Bunker and MC Business sell tips.
ALWAYS sell far for more profits.
One and a half bar is the max for one vehicle.
Two and a half bars is max for two vehicles and anything more then you'll get three.
Two vehicles are do able from the Sandy Shores business. (Yes even two Post OP vans can be done from the cocaine business without using the Oppressor MK II to get back, you only need a upgraded Bati 801RR).
Make sure to register as president inside the MC Business and disband straight away after you sell product from your biker business. This is to avoid getting raided. To disband straightaway after selling the product, just simply go into your interaction menu and keep mashing the X button (PS4) or A button (Xbox one) or keep clicking disband if your on PC.
For faster travelling to your MC business if your doing Step 3 fast is to disband MC and register as CEO and spawn a Buzzard.
Make sure to practice driving them. So buy a Post Op van in the Warstock cache and carry (it only costs $59,850 buy it now or $45,000 trade price and it's a Pegasus vehicle) and practice driving them around and curb boosting so you can get comfortable driving it. Also practice evading traffic with it. Another thing to do is experiment which steep hills are faster to reverse on and where it's better to go forward.
Once you reach Los Santos then curb boost as much as possible. You should be able to get back to the second van on time with a Bati 801RR if you can't afford an Oppressor MKII.
If you are approaching a very steep hill that drastically slows the Post Op van to a crawl like the one in Vinewood hills then reverse since it's faster than driving up it. Do a J-turn once you reach the top and approaching downhill.
Avoid crashing into traffic otherwise you'll lose time since the van is slow to accelerate.
As mentioned on the MC guide, buying full supplies once means your Coke will mostly be two bars but sometimes one and a half bar. Meth will be mostly be two or sometime just over two bars and the Cash will always finish on two and a half bars. You'll be safe in getting two vehicles or Post OP vans in this case.
I've tested it from the Sandy Shores businesses (Coke, Meth and Cash only) that you can finish two Post OP van sales with an upgraded Bati 801RR if you can't afford the Oppressor.
Make sure to wheelie back with the Bati 801RR as much as possible and avoid crashing or you'll lose some precious time.
Instead of following the way point the game gives you, mark your own way point to the east Los Santos drops since driving on Senora Road is faster than going up the hills and start from the east drops and follow the way point to your next drop in central Los Santos or Vinewood hills except if there's another east Los Santos drop then go to that drop next.
If an easternmost drop is in central Los Santos then you better off following the way point the game gives you even though it leads you to a hill. If the hill gets very steep then reverse and do a J-turn once the gradient reduces and you feel that it's faster to go forwards. If you get the Post OP Van mission at the Meth business in Grand Senora Desert then reverse up the steep dirt road for better acceleration ad follow the waypoint the game gives you but only if the easternmost drop is in Los Santos otherwise set a waypoint there and follow it, it leads you to a much quicker main road than the slower steep dirt road.
Step 4 (Optional): Continue doing the step 1 I/E cycle or Step 2 Crates cycle.
If you don't want to do this part for whatever reason then skip to step 5.
Step 5: Selling the Nightclub.
Once you finish doing Step 3 or Step 4 then it's time to sell the Nightclub.
Sell all the product via the special orders for a bonus if there is no special orders then sell all.
Source and sell top range Import/Export vehicle.
Do Terrorbyte mission.
Do Headhunter.
If there's money in both the Arcade and Nightclub safe, just collect it, also go to the Casino and spin the wheel.
Wait for the game to auto save and you should be done for the day.
Alternative steps.
Simple method. (For players who don't have lots of time to play but still want to do the steps). Step 2 is not needed.
Do the pre step.
Do Step 1.
Keep repeating Step 1 I/E cycle until the two and a half hour timer is up.
Do fast step 3.
Once you sold the MC Businesses then sell nightclub and you should be done for the day.
Simple Sightseer, Headhunter and Terabyte client mission cycle. (Best to do in an invite only session).
Find a car and sell to Los Santos Customs.
Start Headhunter.
Do Terabyte client mission.
Do Sightseer.
Do Headhunter.
Do Terabyte client mission.
Do Sightseer.
Do Headhunter.
AFK Solo Method.
What you'll need.
CEO Office.
Special cargo warehouse.
Vehicle warehouse (Optional).
MC Clubhouse so you can buy the MC Businesses.
Bunker with Equipment and Staff Upgrades.
MC Business Coke, Meth, Cash, Weed and Document Forgery. Only Coke, Meth and Cash need the Equipment and Staff upgrades since I don't recommend using the Weed and Document Forgery businesses, Weed and Document Forgery is so you can supplement the Nightclub business.
Nightclub with equipment, security upgrades and level five storage upgrade so you can store more product while AFK and also get all five technicians. Staff upgrades are optional since the staff upgrade is to slow down the Nightclub property loss which in my opinion the extra money gained in the safe is really just a bonus. For more info about the Nightclub business see this thread: https://www.reddit.com/gtaonline/comments/920vm3/mine_and_your_experience_with_the_after_hours_dlc/
Arcade with Master Control Terminal.
Steps for AFK solo method.
Buy supplies for Bunker, Coke, Meth and Cash using the Master Control Terminal in the Arcade. With the Nightclub, set the five technicians to South American Imports, Cargo and Shipments, Pharmaceutical Research, Sporting Goods and Cash Creation first.
Now start an easy contact mission in your apartment and go to the couch where the in game TV is and watch it. Once you sit down, then press the right D-Pad to make sure your watching the in game TV otherwise you may get kicked out due to idling or you could stay indoors and rubberband the right thumbstick so the camera moves in circles. Starting a contact mission and doing this AFK method means you won't pay utility bills and you cannot get raided, on top of that you won't lose any Nightclub popularity.
Keep controller charging.
Leave the console or PC on but turn off your real life TV or monitor your using to play the game. If your playing on you real life TV then you can change channels and watch what program you like.
Do whatever you want outside the game such as school, work or whatever things you need to do, you can even leave your console/PC on overnight if you want.
When your ready to comeback, turn your TV/monitor on and finish the contact mission. If South American Imports and Pharmaceutical Research is full then assign the two other technicians to Organic Produce and Printing and Copying since there's seven types of product and there's only five technicians to collect them assuming you bought all of the technicians. If South American Imports and Pharmaceutical Research isn't full yet then continue to AFK until they're filled up or you can also sell MC Businesses and Nightclub at this point if you want or otherwise continue to number 7.
Once South American Imports and Pharmaceutical Research is finally full, set technicians to Organic Produce and Document Forgery. Start another easy contact mission to AFK again.
Now once Organic Produce and Printing and Copying is filled up (takes 26.6 and 15 hours respectively to fill up), you can either sell the Bunker and MC Businesses or continue to AFK until Sporting Goods and Cargo and Shipments fill up. (Scroll up and follow step 3 or fast step 3 while selling the Bunker and MC Businesses).
Repeat 1-6 or 1-8.
Additional AFK tips.
IMPORTANT: Make sure your console or PC is in a well ventilated area and no objects or wall obstructing the vent fans while doing this method and make sure it's breathing freely otherwise it may overheat.
If your tight on power bills and need to save as much power in real life then I don't recommend doing this method otherwise you maybe paying more in energy bills than usual. Having solar panels help in places where it's sunny most of the time.
Make sure your internet's good otherwise if it fails; your automatically going to get kicked out of the session.
Make sure to put a sleep or rest mode timer on your console or PC. This is to rest the console or PC and not waste unnecessary power bills since you don't make money while on the alert screen. It's useful should your internet fail or the lobby wants to vote kick you or any other reason that may get you kicked out of the lobby. The console or PC will not go into rest mode while still watching the in game TV or security camera, it's only if your on the alert screen.
If your going on holiday for more than three days; make sure to turn off your console otherwise the Nightclub, Bunker and MC Businesses will be full by then and won't make more money until all product is sold. This is because you'll be paying approximately $10,000 in game bills every 48 minutes and it will slowly eat away whatever money you have assuming your not registered as a MC President or CEO or if you AFK while not doing a mission. Assuming your not in a contact mission of course. This tip is mainly to save real life power bills.
Make sure your not registered as a CEO or MC President while AFK because you'll lose $9,400 on Bunker utilities and $25,200 on MC Business utilities every 48 minutes (assuming you have all the upgrades and all MC Business types). Note being a MC President loses you both the $25,200 and $9,400 per 48 minutes wheres being a CEO only loses $9,400 per 48 minutes. Not really significant if you AFK while doing a contact mission since you won't pay any bills and you won't get raided, also your Nightclub won't lose popularity.
Another reason not to register as a CEO or MC President while AFK is because you can get raided. If your indoors and your registered as a CEO or MC President, the game will kick you out of a building and force you to defend your Nightclub.
Like on the Step 3 tips, make sure to register as a president inside the MC Businesses and disband immediately after selling so you can't get raided.
If board from doing the steps.
Grinding the same steps over and over again can get boring overtime.
I recommend doing the Casino Heist for bonus money and to mix things up a bit.
Help other people sell their product.
Do other activities such as survival, contact missions, original Heist and Doomsday Heist.
Help other people finish their original Heist because there's still plenty of players out there who haven't finished the original heist yet.
Have other people help you while you do the steps. This is to help make the person with you plenty of money and it'll make you proud that they're getting money with you.
Do the AFK solo method above should the grind get boring.

0x10124A92 = ~z~At the stroke of twelve, when the moon is fat, the beast will awaken within you. -The Beast, a werewolf the player can turn into in some Freemode Events and Adversary Modes in GTA Online, as well as a secret Director Mode actor for beating him in his secret fight against Bigfoot.

0x71588BAE = ~z~I see a scorched land. A river along a border that cannot be crossed... -The border of Mexico is visible in RDR2, but cannot be crossed.

0x34880013 = ~z~The future cannot be changed. Return when it has become the past... -Francis Sinclair's appearance in RDR2 introduces an aspect of time travel into the mystery. Some parts of GTAV story mode occur before online, maybe there is something to be found by going back to the beginning?
0xA0CBFA2E = ~z~Madam Nazar sees your future, shall I tell you? -Generic fortune teller voice line.
0xA76B6838 = ~z~Remember, the stars favor those who leave no stone unturned. -Much like "he was wrong to start his hunt on a Tuesday," this is as blatant as Rockstar can get at telling us there is still mystery to uncover. The unsolved Panoramic Map in RDR2 does portray star positions.
0xA84C88A8 = ~z~Your every move is watched. Be careful... avoid even the smallest misdemeanor... -Minor crimes can get you wanted in both games. Could also be another suggestion at the karmatic/pacifist playthrough theory.

0xB6FA4AA9 = ~z~I see many people bowing down before a yellow statue of a... no, no that cannot be right. -???
0xB7BEACD4 = ~z~I see an emerald covered in filth, lying on a beautiful plain... -Likely refers to Emerald Ranch in RDR2. It is a farming community, so manure and livestock are everywhere (filth) and it is indeed located in a plain.
0xB8C7E398 = ~z~Come back soon. -Generic fortune teller voice line.
0xB1172B6F = ~z~Ah, it is you. I'm glad you have come. -Generic fortune teller voice line.

0xE113C9F4 = ~z~The future is open to me... -Generic fortune teller voice line.
0xED3B9610 = ~z~I see true love in your future, but only if you act quickly! -???
0xEF1DAB95 = ~z~Take care... Your next drink will go to your head... -The Online Protagonist will pass out and wake up elsewhere after enough alcohol, which is necessary for the UFO tattoo easter egg. There are some moments in RDR2 where drinks have similar effects, such as the Witch's Brew, or the drink offered at Aberdeen Pig Farm.
0xEF6F7672 = ~z~I see... snow! -Both games feature snowy weather online for the holiday season.
0xF0CA2115 = ~z~Mine is the all-seeing eye. -All seeing eyes are a common visual in GTAV, especially on the SecuroServ app and the Chiliad Mural. They've even been featured in official artwork on Rockstar's website.
